And it’s really important you understand why i’m saying that.
That’s the purpose of this video.
See, a lot of people think that having a large list is the goal…
Having a lot of contacts…
Having a lot of second tier…
Third tier connections…
That is not point.
And let me give you an example to drive that point home.
If you, for example, were a mac expert… And you advised on mac software, or things like that, would it help you if you had a large list of pc users?
Not at all, right?
You need people on your list, in your connections, in your world that are great prospects for what you have to offer.
And so how do you do that?
Well, you start the relationship off on the right foot by providing value.
And you do that with a really high-quality lead generation magnet.
Now, lead generation magnets are something that you take time, you take effort…
And you produce by understanding the questions…
Understanding the concerns that your target market might have, and then putting in the work to answer those questions.
Let me give you some examples.
This is a LGM that I put together for group sales managers at hotels to help create great, unique offers to attract more group business to their hotels.
Here’s another one I put together for hospitality technology companies, working in the hospitality space.
Here’s another one I put together that shows hotels how to do social media marketing campaigns so they can drive more direct traffic.
So you see, it takes a ton of time and effort to put these in, but once you have them, they’re business assets that are going to build a list of the right people on your marketing list.
And let me give you some more examples.
Let’s say that you are in the real estate business. Well, you could have a lead generation magnet title, such as, “7 ways to enhance your home’s curb appeal and close on escrow in 30-45 days.”
Or, if you were in the technology space, selling software, it could be, “The ceo buyers guide for smooth sales automation…,” so you would be getting CEO’s on your list… People that are interested in sales automation.
If you were in email marketing, maybe something like, “The Little Black Book of Forbidden Email Marketing Secrets...” might be a great title for you.
So, my point here is that: by providing answers to the questions and concerns that are keeping your market up at night, keeping them stuck and struggling and from moving forward…
Well, first of all, they see you as an authority, somebody who’s put in the time and effort to solve those questions…
… And systematized the solution…
… Systematized the answers to those questions in a way that is just the next logical step in getting what they really want. Which is more success.
So, throughout your lead generation magnet, make sure you share those success stories, share your client testimonials, share your case studies, share all those things that will give people confidence to listen to you… To see what you have to say… And to get on a call with you – and get into a real working relationship with you.
So, there you go. Having a big list is great, but having the right list is so much better.
Now, you might be saying, “Hey, that sounds great, Jeremiah, but i don’t have any list at all… Not even 10 subscribers… Not even 3… Not even 2… How do I even go about getting that list in the first place… Let alone the right list?”
Well, that’s a tactical question, and I have some answers for you on that…
